1. When is the best time to buy an extended service contract?
If you are still covered by the manufacturer's warranty, the best course of action is to try to perfectly time the purchase of
an extended service plan to match up with the end of your current warranty. Just be sure that you don't forget. It would
be quite unfortunate if your vehicle picked that week or day to break down. Also, be aware that extended service contract
prices are impacted by mileage, so if you are close to a mileage breakpoint (usually 12,000 increments), then buying a
warranty early might make financial sense.
2. Does my vehicle need to be inspected?
Extended service plans are sold for vehicles that are in good working condition. In fact, we may ask to have your car
inspected before your coverage takes effect.
3. What are my options to pay for an extended service contract?
We accept all major credit cards and personal checks. We also offer an interest free finance plan.
4. Is my service contract insured?
All extended service contracts that we offer are directly insured, and the administrators maintain a future claims reserve for
all policies to covered repair costs. A percentage of premiums paid by all new and used car extended service contract holders
are deposited into an account that is used strictly to pay future claims.
5. What do I do when I experience a problem with my vehicle? How is a claim processed? Where can I go to have
my vehicle repaired?
Take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility. (Any auto dealership, repair shop or private mechanic of your choice).
a. Allow the repair facility to diagnose your vehicle
b. Have the repair facility contact the claims center at a toll-free number that is provided to you on the contract.
c. The claims center will authorize all covered repairs, less your deductible, if any.
d. Once the repairs are done to your satisfaction, the claims department will pay the repair facility with a corporate credit card.
In some cases only you can be reimbursed by the claims department. Please see your service contract policy for specific details.
6. Can I cancel my service agreement?
To ensure your complete satisfaction we provide a 30 day full refund policy provided you have not made any claims on the warranty. Should you feel this service contract is not right for you simply write “void” on your contract and mail it back to us. After the first 30 days you may cancel your policy at any time, provided you have not made any claims, and you will be refunded the
pro-rated unused portion of your service contract coverage. After the first 30 days there will be a $100.00 cancellation fee in addition to any cancellations fees outlined in your contract. Please be aware that some service contract companies do not allow cancellations after the first 30 days. Product service contracts cannot be canceled after 30 days or after product has been used. Review your service contract carefully to determine cancellation options, procedures, and fees.
7. Will a service contract pay for a problem that the vehicle has when I get the service contract?
Extended service contracts are not meant to cover problems that exist with a vehicle at the time the service contract is obtained. Such problems are called “pre-existing” conditions and service contract companies do not approve claims for them. Whether a problem is a pre-existing condition is determined by the repair facility or the service contract company.
